Abu Dhabi International Airport
ReplyDeletethis airport has since evolved in to a stste of the art facility, keeping pace with dhabi's massive economic growth over the past decade. the facility was consturcted in the 1960 in the Albatten area , as passenger traffic soared, a new airport was established approximately 30km east of abu dhabi, designed to handle 3.5 million passengers per annum. they plan to build anew terminal and adapt the present building to a commodate another one and overhaul all facilities. this terminal will be the third one in abu dhabi international airport. with terminal 1A and terminal 2 both already in operation since september 2005, the airport passenger capacity load has soared to 6.8 million.
ADAC is now building a third terminal facility for the exclusive use of etihad airways. designed for 5 million passengers a year, terminal 3 will have eight gates capable of handling wide- bodied aircraft, including the airbus a380.
ADAC is striving to build a world class airport infrastructure and operation for the emirate.

the airport will Accommodate about 60 million passengers and it's A huge number of travelers during the year
They will also Work is in progress to build Concourse 3, the world's first airside facility dedicated to the Airbus superjumbo A380. Concourse 3 is due for completion at the end of 2011, and will boost total annual capacity of Dubai International to 75 million passengers.
There are also ongoing projects in the UAE including Abu Dhabi International Airport
Projections for 2011 expect 20 million passengers a year. Cargo volume also had a strong showing in 2007 of 315,317t and increasing to 353,820t in 2008.
This also makes it one of the most important airports,in The Middle East
There are lots of other existing projects and some are under development with the passage of time will make the Middle East one of the main gates in the world

Kuwait International Airport
ReplyDeleteThe Kuwait International Airport is considered to be the main hub for Kuwait airways. it is located 16 kilometers south of Kuwait city. It actually can handle 6 million passengers a year. The government ordered a modernization program in 1990 who will add some adjustment with two phases and cost of 60 million. The first phase, the terminal will be expanded by 32000m2 and some adjustment in the arrival hall with new car parking areas. The phase two, they will add 64 new fully automated check in, baggage handling systems and new facilities dedicated zone for children. They also will work in adding new terminal that will increase passenger handling capacity to 14 million a year.
